I want to start this letter out with a happy birthday S/O to my little sister Cydnee!!! The big 10!! My parents must be getting old.
I also have to throw one to Austin Emery for the cologne soaked letter he sent me. Some things never change. I'm forever grateful for all of the good brothers I have.
Tuesday
Ammon Yarber came out with us all day which was awesome for him! We had some good success from that and taught some good lessons! Funny story of the day goes to Grandma Joyce! She asked us what an investigator was and I just wanted to say well.... It's you. Hah she gets emails from a missionary in Japan who is always talking about his investigators and she was really confused.
Wednesday
Highlight of the day was an awesome lesson with the Nickersons! We had a really good family night with them! They made dinner, we brought a ton of treats, and it was sweet!! We watched Meet the Mormons which is a really good movie!! Hah Faye was all concerned it would be boring but she was glued to the thing the whole time!! Kids these days...
Thursday
Exchanges with Elder Williamson! We had a pretty good time on the continual man hunt it is to find all these less actives. At about 6:00 we had burned through all the names we had for the day, and we still had an hour before we needed to go back for dinner and studies. I was feeling like we needed to go see two of our Puerto Rican investigators who have been getting over a cold, but Elder Williamson doesn't speak hardly any Spanish... I asked him if he was down and he said sí so vamonos we went. Turned out to be a good lesson!! The spirit was there! Two white boys handled themselves just fine.
Friday
We were back at the friendly kitchen which keeps getting better!! The main lady that works there came up to us and said: "Okay you guys are seriously so happy ALL the time, all of you that I have met are always SO happy! Why is that?" Cash yet again. We taught her the restoration right there in the kitchen and it was amazing. She had awesome questions!! She started looking up more about the church on her phone so we quickly steered her to Lds.org before she got off course. I've learned a thing or two on my mission about the Internet. After that we exchanged and I got my Mexican back. Seguimos adelante.
Saturday
Service again with the doggies. Still working on changing my attitude there. This time we had a hose with some decent water pressure so Ranger Rick was back in action. No animals were harmed, but there was order. We also did some really solid weekly planning so this coming week better be good!! Other than that we kind of just had one of those days where no one is home and the people that are seem to do everything but listen to the gospel. I also learned that you have to be careful with the word "fireside." We called an investigator to remind her about the fireside tomorrow and she says: "Man, it's a little cold to be outside don't you think?" "Y'all really planning on doing it outside?" Gotta be more careful with our vocabulary I suppose.
Sunday
Super long but amazing day! We left our apartment at 7:00 in the morning and got home at 8:30 PM, That's what I call a busy day. It was amazing though!! We were in Jamestown for church again and President and Sister Johnson were there for the Why I believe fireside that night! The fireside was great!! Very spiritual. There were 40 of us missionaries with a lot of singing, talks, and videos! It was super powerful, and I think a lot of people were touched!! It took up a ton of our day but I always love getting together with all the missionaries!! The PPM is a good place to be right now.
This week we are going to be crazy busy which is awesome!! Hah we have a ton going on! Also I have to play piano at stake conference so any prayers thrown my direction for that would be appreciated... I need lots of practice.
Hope you all have a great week!!
Take it easy,
Elder Halls
