Well this week has been a full one. Lots of stuff going on which is how you want it! The Peña family is still doing great but really struggling with their job! They work every single day and it's just rough for them! They told us the only thing holding them back from coming to church is their work! It's so hard to see people have that struggle between church and work and which one is more important. We pray for them a lot!
We did back to back exchanges which makes everything a little wild. I went to Berwick on Thursday with Elder Aitken which was pretty sweet! He's an awesome missionary and we taught together super well! He was raised in Monticello so shout out to San Juan County haha! They have an awesome recent convert that they found tracting and we got to teach him! It's amazing how so many people are prepared and we just have to find them!
I got back to Williamsport on Friday and we had lunch with good ol Lorikay. She took us out to this little sandwich shop by the church and we enjoyed some nice lunch. Always funny to see this 97 year old woman order a huge sandwich and eat two bites. She's got money to throw around.
Church was super good this week! I mean it's always great, but some weeks seem to stick out more than others. We had two really good talks about missionary work and it just made me realize the importance of all that we do! There were some awesome analogies shared that really stuck with me! I said goodbye to a lot of the people that I have grown to love here which is always tough. There are amazing people here in Williamsport! I'll miss them for sure. One of the hardest things as a missionary is building relationships with people and then having to leave them. We just have to trust that it is what the Lord wants!
On Saturday I found out that I'm getting transferred! I'm headed to Pittsburgh to be an Assistant to President Johnson! I'm going to be with Elder Liston who is starting his last transfer! I'm super nervous and also really excited! It's going to be a change for sure! I've been in the boonies for so long and now the big city of Pittsburgh! I'm pretty pumped!!
Sorry this one is a little shorter but it's been a wild week and I don't have much time today! I probably won't get to a lot of the personal emails but thanks for all the love and support from back home! You guys are the best.
Just Believe,
Elder Halls
