Hey all yous. Life is good in PA! This week we are moving to a new apartment and we are preeeety puuuumped. So if you were thinking about sending me something which let's face it you probably weren't, please wait until I have a new address. Love you guys.
Tuesday
Elder Spencer somehow tied super heroes into the ultimate super hero who is our Savior. It was pretty sweet to watch it unfold. Apparently Captain America is a Nazi in the marvel universe of comics. That's what we heard at least... The PeƱas still haven't read from the Book of Mormon and wonder why they have so many questions. It's kind of frustrating but we're trying. They have awesome questions in all the wrong places. We set them with a date as a goal to work for and they accepted. Pray for them! We had dinner with Rob Fluck and he is such an awesome guy. He made us some prime food and we definitely enjoyed it. Wrapped the night up with the Lakes family and Kaley wants me to baptize her!! We're super excited for her! That family has done a 180 and I love watching it!!
Wednesday
We presented zone training and it went super well! We had a bunch of members come help us out with role plays and the missionaries loved it! It was pretty crazy getting it all coordinated so I was just happy it worked out! Always a little stressful, but in the end it all goes according to plan! After the training I headed up to Towanda with Elder Millis for an exchange! Took us two hours to get home but that's just how life is here in the PPM sometimes... We ended the night with the most sincere questions from this guy named Matt. He had heard some weird things about the church and wanted real answers. I love people that come to a good source.

Thursday
Elder Millis and I had an awesome day! We were both able to meet our goals for the exchange which is always nice to do. Makes you feel like you did something right! We picked up two new investigators in the promised land of New York so that was pretty sweet. (Towanda covers PA and a little bit of NY) Just a solid exchange! We got back to Muncy and did some service before teaching Dylan. We pushed his date back because he's progressing a little slower than we thought! He has a lot to learn but we have no doubt that he will! I love that kid! It's like teaching your little brother!
Friday
Saw Rob Fluck and his son Dakoda! He loved the Pokemon cards we brought him so big thanks to the Bushell family! We taught the restoration which was needed but it was weird to find out at the end of the lesson that Dakoda doesn't believe in Christ. He said that he didn't know if he was real... Really weird coming out of the mouth of a nine year old. I was kind of stunned to be honest. I kinda wanted to say something like dude, you believe in Santa but not in Jesus!? What's up with that!? Needless to say, I think it will be a slow process with him but he will come around. Just takes time. We saw Kaley again and taught her the word of wisdom and law of chastity. Always a little interesting teaching the law of chastity to little girls but it went super well! She's ready to be baptized!
Saturday
We've been doing language study a couple times this week over at the Fuentes house which has been awesome! Hermano Fuentes cousin from Chile is here for three months and we're taking full advantage of it. He doesn't speak a whole lot of English so it's been really good for me to talk to him. Elder Spencer is learning how to pray poco a poco. Lori Kay took us to lunch at Sakura buffet which was nice of her but not nice on my stomach. I can't eat that stuff like I used to, college is going to be rough. We went and taught Lily and Connor who both had baptismal dates as of 9:00 that night. Fast forward a few minutes and she told us that her parents wouldn't be letting them learn any more. Super sad because they loved the church. Conner told us that he thought everyone should learn more about the church! Ahhh it kills me to have them be stopped! I pray they find the church again!
Sunday
We saw the Lakes and talked about missionary work with Kaley! We showed my all time favorite Mormon message with my homie Tyler Haws. It illustrates so well the point of sacrificing for our goals and serving the Lord! Bro. Lakes shares my love of basketball so he enjoyed it as well. We moved her baptism to Sunday so more members of the Ward can come so I think it'll be great! We tried a few more people with limited success but that's how it goes around here occasionally...
Random thoughts
- I was in New York on Thursday for maybe a half hour. It felt good to be back in the state where I was mission "born."
- Catching fireflies is always a good time. I feel like such a little boy out there catching them in my paws.
- Elder Spencer did us a favor and locked us out of the apartment at 6:35 on Saturday morning as we went to go run. We decided to go through the window so he boosted me up on the roof and I crawled through the little thing. Adventure is most definitely out there.
- I had a calf suck on my thumb. That's a weird feeling. You should go try it sometime.
Hope you guys are able to "catch em all" this week. Maybe this is what America needs....
Always on the move,
Elder Halls
